The user is given a 14-digit number when the company is registered. This number is made up of five separate components, each of which is distinctive in its own way. This number must be displayed wherever the company does business. Aside from that, all product shipments must be labeled with the number.
Food Business Operators, or FBOs, are those who deal with food in this system. A Food Business Operator, according to Section 3(0) of the Act, is an individual or business owner who takes all precautions and measures to ensure compliance.
FSSAI Basic Licence
Any FBO with a yearly turnover of fewer than 12 lakhs must register with the FSSAI. As a result, any food-serving establishment classed as a small food establishment would be needed to obtain this permit. The applicant must fill out Form A and submit it to the FSSAI in order to receive this type of license.
State FSSAI Certification
A state fssai license is required for an FBO with a yearly turnover of more than Rs 12 lakh but less than Rs 20 crore. A medium-sized food sector operator might benefit from this type of license. The applicant must fill out Form B and submit it to the FSSAI in order to receive this type of license.
FSSAI Central License
For this type of license, the applicant must have a yearly turnover of more than 20 crores. This form of authorization is required for any major food firm or government agency that exports food to foreign countries. The applicant must fill out Form B and submit it to the FSSAI in order to receive this type of license.
